Charles Addo, Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Charles Addo obtained a BA in Economics and Statistics at the University of Ghana, Legon in 1981. After his National Service he moved to the UK where he trained as a Financial Consultant with the Reliance Group of Companies and the Guardian Royal Exchange Personal Financial Management Limited (GRE). He became a full time consultant with GRE from 1985 to 1989. Mr. Addo returned to Ghana in 1989 and established a road construction company and a heavy duty equipment rental business focused on the mining sector. In 2003, Mr Addo became a founding member and Chief Executive Officer of the Meridian Group of Companies.

Muhammad Zaman, Chief Executive Officer – Energy Division

Muhammad Zaman is an accomplished Professional Engineer and certified Project Management Professional with 20+ years of experience in a variety of EPC Projects of Petrochemical Plants, LNG, GTL, Oil & Gas, Offshore and Onshore Inclusive of Brownfield and Green field’s projects. Muhammad Zaman started his career in the state of QATAR and has worked in numerous other countries in the Middle East plus West Africa and Papua New Guinea. In 2018 he joined forces with the Meridian Group of Companies in Ghana to build local Oil & Gas EPC capabilities and to go continental.

Dr. William Mould, Chief Operating Officer

Dr. William Mould is a founding member and the Chief Operating Officer of the Meridian Group of Companies. All operations are led by him. Dr. William Mould has a PhD in Economics from the University of Bradford, England. He is a former Director of Credit Suisse First Boston Limited where he spent 15 years and rose to the rank of Deputy Head of Global Operations for their OTC Derivative subsidiary Credit Suisse Financial Products, where he managed a global team of 150 people located in London, New York, Tokyo, Hong Kong and Singapore. Dr. William Mould returned to Ghana in 2000 and has been working with high level Engineering projects through Meridian Group of Companies.

Ebenezer Quao, Head of Projects & Civil Works

Mr. Ebenezer Quao leads the project management for all Civil Works projects amongst others, at Meridian Management Investment. With over 15 years’ experience in infrastructure development both in Ghana and the United Kingdom, Ebenezer has worked with companies including; Bluestone Infrastructure Company Ltd, Ghana; Abacus Residential Services Ltd, Essex-UK; EC Harris, UK; Damax Construction, Ghana; Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana; among others. Mr. Quao obtained a MSC in Construction Project Management from the Heriot-Watt University, Scotland and a BSc in Building Technology from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi. He joined Meridian in 2009 with a wealth of international experience in Project Management, Project Planning and Delivery, Business Case and Strategic Development in the construction industry.

Benny-Jean Laryea, Group Supply Chain Manager

Mrs. Benny-Jean LARYEA joined in March 2017 as the Group Supply Chain Manager of Meridian Logistics and Engineering. Benny-Jean brings a wealth of experience to the business, including 15 years of Supply Chain and Procurement experience, having worked across 22 countries in Nestle Central and West Africa Region (CWAR) as well as strong leadership skills and management experience from heading the Procurement and Customer Facing Supply Chain Departments in her last 5 years in Nestle. She holds a BSc. in Chemical Engineering from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and an Executive MBA from China Europe International Business School (CEIBS), which gave her an opportunity to undertake a module in Harvard University in U.S.A. Mrs. Laryea is well travelled and has also worked in Egypt, leading the implementation of a regional Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) project in Nestle.
